This is one of my beautiful babies.  Her name is Sussie (originally Bubbles but my husband accidentally renamed her).  She is such a laid back dog and a true princess.  She is so lady like and has amazing manners and is very intelligent.  She is a pleasure to be around.  She has a brother and he is the complete opposite, but more about him later.

My 2 little sisters had their brother and sister and they were so cute that I really wanted a puppy of my own. Unfortunately my husband at that point was adamant I was no longer allowed to have any more pets because he felt that I never saw things through to the end.  We had a 3x Bunnies, 4x Guinea Pigs and we use to have a different dog that I strangely enough was allergic to, but it could have also just been an excuse to get rid of him after he put holes in my boob... after that he was known to me as the Dracula Dog.

Anyway not to stray to far from the point, I really wanted a new pet.  So I begged my mom to call and see if the people still had more puppies before I embarked on a very dangerous encounter with my husband.  I went and sat on the bed side and put on the cutest face I knew how. The conversation went as followed: "BAAABBBYYYY please can I have 1 puppy like my sisters?" , to which his response more than once was, "NO!!!!", I continued nagging until he eventually caved in and said yes, then I continued by saying "Great the guy has a brother and a sister, get dressed so you can go fetch them BOTH" , hesitant at first about my track record with pets, he reluctantly got dressed and went and got me both. They were so dirty but so cute. We gave them a bath at my mother's house and took them to there new home.

This is Seun (originally Rocky, until my husband accidentally renamed him to).  You probably wondering what I mean by the word "Accidentally".  Well, my husband kept calling them Sussie and Seun in Afrikaans and they adapted to that.

Seun is the opposite of Sussie.  Manners are a myth.  He farts right by you and then walks away, leaving you gasping for air.  He thinks he is a small chihuahua and jumps and lays on you with his full body weight, he is really heavy!!! Seun is also not the smartest peanut in the packet, but he is a part of this family and we love him.

One morning my husband left for work and the dogs came and laid with me on the bed.  Seun the dumbass that he is, decided he wanted me to wake up to a disturbing site.  Imagine opening your eyes and this is the first thing you see.

Yes people, I woke up to balls in my face.

Then my dogs decided it was time to make me a grandmother.  We took Sussie to the vet for an ultra sound and they told us we were going to have 5 puppies.  We were so excited.  The closer to the day it got the more nervous we became.  My husband was at work and I had to help her deliver her babies.  As you can imagine I handled the situation like any normal person in my position would have... I freaked out, had a panic attack and called my husband for help.  He rushed home from work.  I will spare you the details because I still have nightmares... so much blood everywhere.  4 out of 5 were born and 1 out of the 4 unfortunately never made it.  We took Sussie to two different vets for another ultra sound because we were still missing 1 puppy, but no-one could find it.  To this day we have no idea what happened to it.

We were the proud grandparents of 3 healthy puppies, 2 girls and a boy.  I wanted to keep all of them considering I raised them for 2 months, no help from Sussie.  I felt I deserved to have my way having put up with the crying, feeding and dragging puppies all over the house to make Sussie's experience has comfortable as possible.  And yet again, my husband shot down my idea of having more pets. Dream Crusher!!! Yes you love!!!

So we advertised the puppies and found a home for both the girls, but no one wanted the boy.  So my husband named him Ben after Bin Laden because he was so destructive.  A week later we found people who wanted Ben but my husband refused to hand him over.  He told me not to get attached to them and that's exactly what he did.  So Ben is a part of this family, but I don't think he likes me much.  He growls at me a lot, but he loves my husband, never leaves his side unless it's to be with Sussie.  He is such a mommies boy!

The 2 puppies on the Left is Sussie and Seun the day we got them and 3 years later they gave us Ben, the picture on the Right.  They all bring Joy into this household in their own special way and although some days I think the SPCA is going to come knock on my door because I want to murder them for ripping my curtains and Ben's favorite... The Couch.  I couldn't picture my life without them.  I love you guys!!!  Don't tell Daddy!!!
